I know a lot of you are going like "I thought she said she would never watch that show again" and "Doesn't she b**** about that show all the time?".

Well, a very close friend of mine told me the BIG DEAL that happened today, and it was a hit in the face. I just had to watch it and hope I wouldn't reduce myself to vomiting.

Instead I reduced myself to tears.

Ever since Season 3, I've thought over how the last two seasons prior have been nothing but a drag, and I had constantly fooled myself into thinking the show was perfect. It never was...

So after Season 3 and watching Equestria Girls (first movie), I began to believe that the people who work on the show have no idea what they're talking about. Where is the FRIENDSHIP? There was just FRIENDSH*T.

When Season 4 came, I skimmed to the end just to see Discord get it. When Season 5 came...forget it.

But when I saw today's episode, I began to wonder if MLP really is a total fail.

It's not TOTALLY a fail. Like Spongebob, there are those precious moments that remind you why you wanted to watch it in the first place (and not because you wanted to impress people who adored it).

Today I realized that this show CAN base itself on friendship. Not just lame fantasy crap like a hydra or God-forbid turning another pony into a princess.

The struggles we face in a relationship all come together in this episode. Now Diamond Tiara, I will honestly say I've always had a love/hate thing for her.

I hate her because she's cruel.

I love her because she's cruel because deep down I know she's troubled.

People who bully you have problems of their own, and seeing someone else suffer is their only pleasure away from the reality they face. Not all bullies are mean because they want to be.

Diamond Tiara, she got hit with a bigger reality than any brony could produce in fanfic. The fact that Silver Spoon has developed from this lacky to someone much stronger says a lot about just how easy it is to lose a friend. DT was hit hard with losing her only friend and realizing that she really doesn't know what her cutie mark means.

I don't like a lot of MLP songs, because they either hurt my ears (looking at Pinkie's Smile song, bleh), or they are just redundant (I do not like Fluttershy's pet song where Tank was introduced). But DT's was something memorable, one of the best songs I've heard in a long time, even grander than the show's theme song itself.

Remember Rachel Platt's "Fight Song" and "See You Again" from Furious 7? Same feels with this one...

And MLP does relate to real life situations because parenting isn't perfect. And for some kids, it's FAR from it.

Who here agrees with me that DT's mom is a B*TCH? If you don't, you're just as bad. (I'm kidding, but seriously...)

Seeing the CMC and DT interact in a greater level that makes up for many idiotic episodes (all the ones of the CMC trying to get a cutie mark), suddenly gives me insight that maybe this show isn't ENTIRELY bad.

Shows have flaws. I've spent so much time pointing out the ones in this show that I never really noticed the good things in it...

Who knows? Maybe the next episode after this one could be an awful filler. But then we can think back on good episodes afterwards. Like how we do with Spongebob. You watched The Splinter? Think back to Nature Pants.

What we can learn from this episode is that people can change. Ponies can change. Your whole perspective can suddenly change.

And my love/hate thing with DT has finally just become...Love.

I'm not a brony. And I'm not the best MLP fan you would meet either. The whole idea of calling myself cartuneslover is mainly because I point out the things I DO love about cartoons. So I may have a lot to hate about MLP, but there ARE some things I can love about it.

Seeing DT change is one of them.

As members of this group (for those who haven't left yet), you either joined because you like MLP, you like RS, or you like either. I can understand where your interests are, and sometimes that can decrease because you feel your favorite show might be falling down.

But if you want to resurrect a feeling I haven't felt since 2012, then I recommend you watch this episode.

2015 is the year for incredible things to happen. This is one of them.

Honestly, a lot of the complaining really feels like you need to get over yourself. It's too early for me, but most of this comes down to the fact you seem to want one thing and ONLY one thing from the show, so of course you're gonna get bitchy when you don't get that one thing.
