I'm surprised people even agree with me on my stances. While I feel great knowing I'm not alone in my cynical/harsh, but necessary opinions of FiM, this spinoff, and the fanbse for said show, I can't help but realize it should have never come to this.
One thing's for certain: If this spinoff fails, FiM may just ultimately (risk of cancellation) go down with it, too - if the finale doesn't pis off enough purists first...
I am not a person who thrives on drama of any sort, even Internet drama. Usually, I take great lengths to avoid drama and trolling and the such like.
But OH MY GOD THE BUTTHURT BREWING FROM THIS WILL BE GLORIOUS. I mean, holy crap, the Alicorn Twilight drama was entertaining enough. But this is just the whipped cream and cherry on top! Where's the popcorn, I need a front row seat for this! 8D
FiM has officially hit rock bottom to me. Not only was season 3 a huge let down (considering the whole Twilight as an alicorn thing too) But this is just STUPID. Hasbro has become a sellout due to the huge fanbase and sooner or later people will start disliking the show. It's just... no
Too late. I'm starting to like LPS (2012) more anyway, considering they haven't been victimized by an overbearing and vocally annoying fanbase! I definitely like Dan Vs. more than those two combined, and we don't see a huge fanbase for that or LPS (2012).
IMHO, this show should've ended after 3 seasons - even if one or two good writiers for this show are coming back, there may be no recovery from this if the damage hits hard enough.
Spike is the ONLY character I actually like in this show, too. The Mane 6 (Nor Celestia & Luna) don't connect with me for some reason... There is Rarity, but she borders on being a snootbag when not kept in check! Twilight, I definitely can't relate to, because as weird a person as I am, I'm not that weird, nor that much of a bordering mary-sue, neither.
May I point out just how fake those 'designs' are? It's the frickin' models from My Little Pet Shop, hell, even the school background is from the same show. It's amazing how people are fallin' for this load.
Yes, I did watch that show, and the models are similar (to it or some other thing I swear.) Frankly, I'm not overreacting, I'm laughing my ass off. Not only are these 'designs' so damn fake and SO godawfully bad, that it's actually laughable and saddening at the same time (seriously, a mentally handicapped twelve year old could do a better job in MS-fucking-paint), but that fact that YOU people are stupid enough to believe this is real. I mean, how gullible do you have to be, to actually consider something this obviously fake as real.
And I don't even like the CMCs all that much. The Super Secret Pup Club from Pound Puppies (2010) are far more productive and useful to society than those 3 dumb kids!
Say what you will about the characters and or the show they come from and how its nowhere near as good as FiM,the Super Secret Pups only had one episode where they truly acted annoying, compared to the CMCs who, outside of episodes only involving one out all three each (respectively), have hurt this show in more ways than I can count!
At least the Super Secret Pups are in training to do something productive for the society around them, where as the CMCs... are just... not. Much. Of. Anything. But. An. Annoyance. Even on a good day with them!
I don't think too fondly of them, but despite the show they come from not being as good as FiM, they are far more productive and selfless characters in comparision to the CMCs, which is why despite being a bunch of inexperienced kids overall, they feel like they're gunning toward something worth gaining in a real world sense.
It's not a spectacular execution of what I'm getting at, those characters, mind you, but my point still stands.
Frankly, I think it's worth a look. We've drawn and written about human ponies for a while, now it could be a reality. The one thing I fear is it sacrifices the charm and good of the show and replace it with teenage drama. But thankfully it's a spin off, meaning if it fails, it won't have any kind of negative effect on the main series.
I'm all for a spin off series but, really? To the creators of the show, you do know that you don't have to get your ideas from fan art and fan fiction. If this was just a what if episode like with Fionna and Cake from Adventure Time, that's fine, but a whole series? I'm sorry but it sounds kinda stupid
I can't believe this is real. I can't wait to see how this goes and what effects it's going to have on them! I know Dash is gonna miss being able to fly (I smell a plot point! ) And I wonder what their human names will be.
