Season 8 of MLP?

Okay, I saw this on a meme about two years ago after watching that MLP episode which had Twilight meeting her future self. It made me think about something.

Spongebob was popular and the show makes big bucks off its merchandise and has a serious fandom.

Then it just crashed and burned since Season 6.

MLP FIM is going on it's 5th season. What if it goes onto 6 and suddenly the people want to continue it for money reasons just like Spongebob? After all, why else did they made Equestria Girls out of the blue?

I may not be a brony, but I don't want it to turn into another Spongebob. After Stephen Hillenburg left the show, it became a nightmare. Laura Faust left MLP and some fans agree that most of the show has become "high school YouTube vine drama".

You think Season 8 and beyond is possible? After all, MLP isn't the only show considered to be going there. There's Regular Show, Adventure Time, Steven Universe...all the GREAT shows that we praise SO much.

Just like we used to do for Spongebob...
